This is the oldest Melaka Indian chendol vendor I can remember. My first taste of this indian chendol was more than 25 years ago, at the same spot, in front of Melaka’s Clock Tower.
Melaka Indian chendol is normally sold by vendors on the roadsides. It is very popular among the local and for travellers to quench their thirsty throat after a long day of exploring Melaka.
Indian chendol is watery kind compare to Melaka’s nyonya chendol which is thick. The dessert’s basic ingredients consist of shaved ice, coconut milk, green jelly, palm sugar, red beans, glutinous rice, grass jelly and creamed corn.

LOCATION: Opposite the Clock Tower
